Ethan is a fifth-generation Red Wing resident and very happy to be so. He is the President of AFSCME Local 737, co-chair of the Hunger-Free Kids Network of Every Hand Joined, a member of the United Way’s Board of Directors, and serves on a number of committees and boards throughout the State. Ethan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and is an alumni of the Blandin Foundation’s Community Leadership Program and its Academy for Community Engagement. A past President of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, he counts his Church and various fraternal memberships as those most important to him. He and his wife Karen make South End their home, and while he is known to wear many hats, it may be that his Shriner’s fez fits him most comfortably. Ethan joined the Jones Family Foundation board in 2015.

“Over time I’ve watched the Foundation grow into a critical part of our community’s charitable, social and entrepreneurial fabric. What a blessing it is to have this resource here and I’m so thankful to be a part of its work.”
